Plastiform F.X.D. CA-007 - Thanks to its initial Fluidity the F.X.D. can easily be poured inside any kind of part. The final impression is Semi-Rigid (85 Shore A hardness), and cannot be deformed and stretched. It does not accept any Removal Constraint.
That is why the F.X.D. is only recommended for taking impressions of simple forms.
The impression has a shape-retention memory, and returns to its original form after being removed. All details, dimensions, forms, surface finish are reproduced to a precision better than 1µm.
The F.X.D. is suitable for the following applications:
- Dimensional Control of Internal Simple Forms
It can also be used for:
- Add strength to fragile part before machining
The F.X.D. impression can be controlled without contact, using a visual measuring instruments, profile projector, microscope, and optical measuring instrument. It can also be measured with contact, using a low-pressure caliper, or any other measuring instrument for flexible materials.
But it is too rigid to be sliced using the Plastiform Twin Blade Cutter.
