The Mitutoyo TM Series is a toolmakers' microscope well suited for measuring dimensions and angles of workpiece features. It can also be used to check the shape of screws and gears by inserting an optional reticle in the eyepiece. The compact body makes it ideal for use on shop floors that have very limited space for measuring instruments. Angle measurement is performed easily by turning the angle scale to align the cross-hair reticle with the image of the edges that define a workpiece feature. Illumination intensity can be adjusted to suit the reflectance of the surface of the feature under investigation
