The new MWT-1300 Profilometer is an advanced portable surface finish tester, measuring profile, roughness, and waviness. It comes with a Microsoft Tablet which runs dedicated, user friendly software to control the Profilometer and view measurement data. Press play to start a test, and the sensor will begin tracing the probe tip across the surface, with live test data shown on-screen as it measures.
The test data is processed and displayed automatically in results tables and using graphs to show waveforms of the surface profile, roughness, and waviness. Additional Abbott Curve, Fast Fourier Transform, and Amplitude Distribution graphs are also automatically drawn for convenience. The software has a wide range of customisable parameters to control the test setup, filtering algorithms, and values reported, with over 100 parameter options suitable for reporting to GB, DIN, ISO, ASME, and JIS standards. All measurement data can be saved on the tablet, or it can also be exported as a .CSV file and transferred onto another device using the supplied SD card or via USB.
